Job Description
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager – Engineering and Development, you will be a member of our respected engineering team. The purpose of this role is to support Marlborough Lines’ development and operational technical needs in the field. The primary focus will be supporting Marlborough Lines’ renewable energy projects and operational sites.
We are looking for a registered Electrician or Technician to fill this position.
The Role in detail
Support the Development of Renewable Energy Systems
Assist design and development
Coordinate and supervise electrical and automation work
Set up and manage automation systems (inverters, PLCs, SCADA and comms devices)
Electrical quality control and commissioning
Support the Operation of Renewable Energy Systems
Ensure a high level of operation, reliability and availability of electronic systems during normal and unplanned operations
Provide fault finding and diagnostic skills to ensure the availability of our assets is world class
Monitor plants remotely and report on performance
Responsible for supporting operations of secondary systems
Assistance with substation, electrical, and protection systems
About You
To be successful in this role you will need the following qualifications and experience:
EWRB electrician registration
Relevant experience within plant operations / process control or maintenance experience in an electrical utility, generation services, manufacturing or process industry
Ability to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and/or maintenance activities
Knowledge of electronic controllers, instruments, protections and SCADA systems
Experience with electrical HV/LV and automation systems
Ability to learn quickly.
Problem solving & decision making.
Be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised.
Be well organised and possess systematic and effective work habits.
Ability to accurately and systematically record data
